Summer 2024, I was wrapping up my master’s thesis at EPFL and looking for a job in Switzerland after graduation. It took me about two months to find one, but the hardest part wasn’t the interviews – it was just finding relevant positions in the first place.
LinkedIn filters were terrible. I was targeting ML roles, but kept getting shown frontend, data engineering, and other unrelated jobs. On top of that, keeping track of applications manually was a real pain. So, to save time, I wrote a script that:
- Searched LinkedIn daily
- Filtered only relevant jobs based on my preferences in Switzerland
- Saved them into an Excel file
No more endless scrolling – I just opened the file and applied.
A few friends heard about it, asked for the code, and started using it too. Eventually, I thought: why not build a simple UI for all of us?
That’s how findoff.online (short for Find Offer) was born. FindOFF is a simple web app which finds relevant Machine Learning and Software Engineering jobs in Switzerland every day. It automatically collects and filters job posts from LinkedIn and other sources, showing only the most relevant ones in a clean, easy-to-use dashboard. Users can organize their applications, mark progress, and get fresh updates every day.
